Everyone one says stock rigs can do it. I have completely stock suspension and 31 inch tires with agressive tread and I'm going. Hope that helps

Well I got 29's on my Jeep and I've only driven off road up Mt. Herman off 315, 318, & 319. So from looking at that trail, Idk what it really looks like in person.

Have you looked at the pics from when me and Chad went last month? I gotta believe most of the snow has melted. I don't know enough to compare my jeep to yours but mine is a fully stock jk sport with the 16" tires. This was also only my 2nd trip ever. But if you're not feeling it then it's cool. Don't rush or push yourself.
Heres the link to the pics chad posted: Left Hand Canyon (Colorado) 2-19-12

How many Jeeps are stock compared to one with oversized tires and lockers?

I'm pretty sure at least 4 stock jeeps without lockers. Waiting on a couple more jeeps to confirm.

Well I was thinking I could wait on the on-ramp at county line after monument hill for you to come by and then I'll slip into the convoy there, but not positive yet. I'll let you know by Saturday.

Idk if I will be going guys. If something happens to my Jeep, I am in no position to fix anything. And it's my daily driver....

Mines a daily driver also. I think you are making yourself nervous. There's a couple guys in this group that I know have less experience than you, you will be fine.

If you sre not comfortable then don't go... this trail is an intermediate class 4 trail and there are a couple of spots that are tough. If you feel like you need to get some more experience on easy trails then I would recomend trying to get a group together for and Easy run. Sometimes the worst thing you can do is go on a trail that your not ready for and can't enjoy it because your nervous. I would like for you to go but NOT if you are not comfortable.
Or you can find someone to ride with the first time to see if you feel like you can do it yourself.

I'm not trying to pressure you. Colo-TJ is right if you are nervous on a trail it won't be very fun. Id be down to go up mt Herman again soon, haven't been since last summer.

I'm not nervous. It's my mom that's throwing in her 2 cents and my dad went from agreeing on going to saying I shouldn't go. I want to, want to learn and get more experience. If anyone has an open copilot seat, I'd be game to ride shotgun.

I live in Westminster so I'd meet you at the meeting point at Left Hand Canyon Rd. My daughter is coming so you can sit in the back seat or I have a friend who should have an open co-pilot seat.

No sadly I did not. I just got a motorcycle for my b-day, so went for a ride this morning, been chilling out at home since then I want to go wheeling, but I can't afford to repair the jeep if something happens.

Cheer up, I am cooking up something for this weekend close to home so pay attention.

Old as I am I still remember the good parent, bad parent routine It's only because they love you and want to keep you safe. Since my youngest is now a thirty something I've looked at this from both sides of the fence.

I actually envy you, because you've got a motorcycle My dad, who was riding Harley's in the 1930's would have been fine, but my mom would have had the screaming meme's for years. Actually, she did...

It will be on Sunday since that seems to work best for people. I just need to make sure that the trails I have in mind are clear enough to be safe. Don't want you climbing any more trees...
