Old style MT/R's.

So I this isn't a jeep question. But I just got a 1989 ramcharger with a skyjacker 6" lift locked front and rear. It has a set of Goodyear wrangler MT/R's 35x12.50 the old styles non Kevlar. With about 50% tread on them. And my dad said he'd trade me for a set of 80% tread Dunlop mud rovers. Well. I want what's gonna be best. How do the old style MT/R's do?

My buddy runs them. They hook up great, flex is very good and far better than the new ones. IMHO of course. Most guys that run them like them, ALOT! That's probably why your dad wants them...

I figured lol. I've been reading online and there's some people talking about their rain and slick conditions problems. Any opinions?

Best tires I ever had were the Denman Ground Hawgs, and they were bias ply.
