Yep I would fly and rent a jeep. Already looking at next year for Ouray. Lol. Arizona might be tough to do in the same year dollar wise.

The mountains got killed this year, which is really a good thing. Lots of snow. Hell a-basin was open till the 22nd of June for skiing.

Great pics, thanks for sharing. I have no idea what "a-basin" is but the San Juans got 168% more snow than average. Still places here with 60 foot drifts. This is good, since all of our water comes from snow melt.

Black bear is off the list for this trip as not all parties want to run it. One of these days I'll get to do it though.

That is a ton of snow on corkscrew! I wonder how much will still be there on Thursday when we plan to run it. The huge snow drifts make for really cool pics, but I'm afraid all the snow will detract for the rest of the scenery

A-basin is a ski resort located near frisco/Dillon CO right off of I-70

I thought all the snow only added to the scenery.
At least for me. Besides this kind of drifts seem to be only near the tops.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I think all the snow is really nice as well. I just prefer the multitude of colors you get when there is less snow on the ground....
