Ouray 06/14 road trip

Hey guys
I'm heading out to Ouray in about 5 weeks. Just wondering what the snow pack is looking like right now.
Any ideas or websites I could check into to find out when the higher trails will be plowed. I have read that they try and have them plowed by June 01. It will be around the 20th before we get there.
Any suggestions or thoughts.
Looking to do Imogene and engineer along with the alpine loop.

I will be there June 22nd through the end of that week for my pre honey moon and plan to run trails including Black Bear. Apparently it's my turn to go first on BB. I'm sure we won't mind if you want to come with. It's us and a few other friends who are also on wrangler forum.

I imagine by then most trails should be open. And you can check through the forest service which most like has a website.

I would love to run BB, problem is the wife has already watched too many utube videos and she said, "no way".
But if we were going with someone else, well who knows.
I would like to meet up with someone while I'm there.

Only way I convinced my wife to be is she has control of the ebrake so she can stop us if she gets scared lol. It's definitely a trail more fun with a group which I know we have 3 rigs for sure. But if she still says no that's OK maybe we could meet in telluride and take imogene back to Ouray back together. We'll figure it out.

That sounds great. Even if no BB, Imogene would be great.
I'll update this once we get into Ouray or I'll pm you.

My wife said the same thing about Black Bear and Red Cone. She's now done Black Bear and agreed it was fun and not really scary and Red Cone is now one of her favorite trails that we run several times per year. The views from Black Bear are so spectacular that it would be a real shame to miss it.

Cool.
That might make is a little easier on the wife if she knows we are going with a group that's done BB before.

Just hoping the dates work for me.

We have all ran it at least twice.
It's all about the fear factor. The trail itself isn't bad.

If you get here the 22 would match up almost perfect for us. I would be surprised if any trails were closed due to snow at that time. Your wife won't be the only Lady there also. Only thing I'd recommend is getting lodging booked if you are staying in a hotel or an owned camp site.

According to my wife's calendar we are supposed to be in Ouray on the 20th with reservations at the Victorian Inn.
So it looks like we might be good to go. Now the fun part will be convincing her.

Hey you're welcome. It's never as fun jeeping alone. You shouldn't have a problem with your rig. We will also have at least 2 winches just in case we ever needed one.

Cool, just checking, since I'm coming from flat as a board Florida.
The planing is now evolving and coming together.
This is going to be a tough 5 or so weeks for me to wait.
