I'm a definite maybe. Pretty sure I can't make the 9am meetup time in Estes as we have an overnight flight on saturday and convincing the girl to get up at 6 will be impossible.
What are the chances I could meet up before Ironclads? Also, it doesn't look terribly technical, I've got 07 Rubi with 33's and a leveling kit so no big mods and I've run a bunch of "moderate" level trails and felt very comfortable just not good at judging the difficulty of trails on the interwebs yet. How long do you anticipate being out?
Sorry for the bombardment of questions. Would really like to kick start my vacation with a good run.

Yea we could prolly make that happen and I think your jeep will make the trail. If not I'm sure you can ride along with someone. But you should be fine. Just have to be careful. As for how long we will be out. I have no clue

the first trail is a easy run. that way those that have new upgrades can get them "shook down" and settled in before we hit the ironclads/Plane crash which is a upper moderate. most of the trail is fairly easy with only a few difficult spots. there are also some playground areas that can be as challenging as you want to make them. we have a pretty good group that is going and you will be fine with this run and when we get to some of the more difficult spots we will help you through them.
I'm OK with doing a 10AM start on this run since there are folks coming from some distance. I plan on being out all day but whoever wants to peel off and head back can since it won't be hard to find the exit.

Big Country-----check the earlier posts for a location.

I'm good with whatever time I really don't mind to much.

What are the plans for lunch. Like I said I could bring my small grill and we could do hot dogs

And you like my new toys my grandpa gave to me. He found them in his shed and said I coul have them

those are some sweet hand-me-downs. I priced those two items at the local 4x4 shop and the can is $99 and the hi-lifts go for over $100 depending on which you get. You just scored over $200 in stuff.

As far as lunch I usually just make sandwiches and bring them in a little cooler that fits perfect between the tailgate and back seat. That seems to be about the quickest and most convenient thing to do on the trail.

I'm not sure what time we will be at the ironclads trail. last thing i want to do is put a 4wheeling day on a schedule where we have to watch a stupid clock. that would make it seem like just another day.
1st trail is probably a couple of hours or so.

Cant wait. With those new tires, every time I hit 30 mph or more, it sounds like a damn b-10 comin' down the runway. I think they'll do me good on the trail.

Alright we are in... sounds like a 10:00 am start in Estes?

What's post 43? Are meeting at the vistors center?

Anyone have cb or cell phone?

Bigcountry, we'll be coming in from Windsor. We could meet you earlier at the HWY 34 Park and Ride on the west side of I-25 if you want and follow each other up from there.

BigCountry it is exit 257 (I think) right at the outlet malls in Loveland. Meet us at the park and ride (northwest corner)at 9:00 we might get to estes a little early but that'll give me a chance to get a starbucks if I need a re-fill!!
