I went through several radiators, from fixing my stock unit, to buying a stock replacement. I kept having trouble with leaks at the seams of the plastic tanks. I didn't want to shell out the ~$400 for an aluminum from Be Cool or Griffin, so I went with one of these:
New 2 Row All Aluminum Radiator 1987 2006 Jeep Wrangler 1 Customer Service | eBay

You still get an aluminum radiator, with TIG-welded (versus crimped plastic) tanks, for a fraction of the cost. This has treated me well for the past couple of years.

Right on ill look in to it. I'm the same way, I don't want to buy a 400 dollar radiator. Did you buy your radiator on eBay?

Yes, I bought through eBay from that particular vendor.

I just gathered all the parts (new radiator, water pump, thermostat and housing, fan clutch) to do a conversion to waterless coolant. I wanted to test the waterless sytem at our high altitudes.

FYI - I had been in search for a 5/16" square drive socket to get the block drain plug out but could not find one anywhere. Stopped by my local True Value hardware store last night and was able to buy a 1.5" long 5/16" square stock piece that should work perfect. They have diferent length's so if 1.5" is too short or long i can go pick up another one. Best thing is that it only cost $1.10 for the piece.
