Rampart Range Road

Does anyone have any information on the condition of Rampart Range Road leading out of GOG? Is it open and is the Res. open for fishing?

Rampart range road is closed from Monument,(Mt. Herman Road) south to GOG. I am not sure you can get anywhere near the res. You might be able to get to the res above Palmer Lake if you go from Dakan Road down, but I am not sure. We drove by Mt. Herman on Saturday and it was still blocked off.

Just tried to go up gold camp just to get some fresh air but it's closed except for local traffic. High drive was closed too. Due to fire danger it said. Dunno about old stage.

Things are starting to shut down up here. Forest service in part, locals the rest. Most side roads into PNF are being manned by locals and are stopping anyone trying to get in. It's like if you don't belong here go away. Now. This could start getting really ugly if the arsonists aren't caught soon. I wish they would just close the forest to all recreational activity.
