1st Roof of the Rockies - NEW!

New this year is the Roof of the Rockies Jeep Jamboree, located in Snowmass Village, CO, and surrounded by the Gunnison National Forest and the White River National Forest. Conveniently located adjacent to the nearby town of Aspen, this event will be offered as a Classic Jeep Jamboree.

The Town of Snowmass Village wants to let each registered participant know about the Western Wednesday’s Rodeo. 2013 is the 40th anniversary of the Rodeo and is sure to add to your adventure! Special arrangements and discount pricings have been made for JJUSA guests. Come in a day early and attend the state’s oldest rodeo! Also, plan on attending the FREE Summer Concert Series on Thursday evening after registration.

Tow hooks mandatory.

This looks like it could be fun. Unfortunately it falls right in the middle of the Mile-Hi Jeep club 47th annual All-4-Fun week. All-4-Fun runs July 28th - Aug 4th this year. I'd guess there were 200+ Jeeps there last year from as far away as Florida. I will be attending the MHJC All-4-Fun again. Too bad this Jamboree falls during the same time period...

I looked into this also but like so many other locals i can't see spending that kind of dough on something we get for free. Like Topher I also understand the whole "experience" of it, but if you're from here you already know how much of a tight nit group is here, and how often we wheel in large groups. There is a vast amount of knowledge in this state when it comes to wheeling without paying $300 to hear some guy from another state tell me the best way to run our trails. Best part of our runs is we don't limit who can come, be it bone stock or moded to the hilt, we welcome all.

So long in short I'll stick with my free wheeling with my fellow knowledgeable and open Coloradans.

$300 for a full week and $190 for a partial week. That includes 4 meals, ice cream social, a vendor show, 7 nights of camping, 5 days of guided 4-wheeling trips and great door prizes. Yea it's not super cheap but for what you get, I think it's a great value....

You can find more details at:
Home

Also, I'm not a MHJC member, just someone that has attended and had a wonderful time.

Yes, I know but there many other vehicles that have stock size tires and are family and daily drivers. Their vehicles are very off road worthy . Hey they need to to learn , too.

Thank you for your opinion. I really like you out of state comment. It would be nice to get support from locals to make events happen, any event. Having locals being part of the event and using their knowledge of the area and trails is a good thing. But it is hard to get locals to get involved. Reading your opinion I have a better understanding why that is.

x2

Plus I'm most likely restricted due to my mods, I'm right on the edge, but like you said, why would I pay for something that I can get for free.
