Run May 18?

Does anyone want to do a run that Sunday? I finally have the funds to get to a trail and back. Let me know.

Is there another thread up that I did not see? I could most likely hit that one, will have to budget my finances really well for that day though so I can budget accordingly. But I should be able to make it. Hoping I can do well enough on it as it'll be a trail I haven't run yet. Plus this time I will be having someone with me. Also hoping it will be warm enough to remove the doors.

Is there anyone else from Denver going?

Yea there's a guy on Facebook who created the event. There's a group running it for his bday. I don't know if there is a thread for it on here yet though.

Another question is; I've looked at the pics off trail damage and it seems I may need rocker guards unless I want body damage. Is this true?

Also, I'd rather go with either you or someone else from on here that I trust to spot when I need it .

YES, Amy, you will want/need rocker guards. There are by-passes on the trail but you really should have rocker guards. And having someone spotting you that you Trust is a very good idea.

FWIW, keep a CONSTANT eye on CL, often you'll find TJ stuff for pennies on the dollar. Several months ago there was a set of sliders $for 75 like new!

That's what I was thinking, and I saw a pair of the rubicon rocker panels off a TJ for $50. And was wondering if I should pull the trigger for now until I can afford a better quality ones?

You'd have to drill some holes in your Jeep body to mount the Rubicon rocker guards and then if you find some beefier ones, you'll still have the holes which probably won't be needed or will be in the wrong locations for the sliders you end up with.

Thank you. I will pass on them considering I most likely would be upgrading later on.

I'm going to see if I can pick up some sliders. If I can't, then I'll have to pass which will suck. Crossing my fingers for the best.
