Runs this weekend

I do not know which trails are open or not, but I came with some ideas of trails to wheel this weekend.
Middle St. Vain, near camp dick?
Pennsylvania Gulch?
Coney Flats?
Left Hand canyon is fun to screw around on.
Ill be bringing the CJ
So anyone interested or have other trail ideas 45min within boulder?

I believe MSV is closed. LHC should be open. Not sure on the others. I'd call the ranger station to see exactly whats open still.

A few of us are snow camping and trail riding at Slaughterhouse Gulch near Bailey this weekend. Heading up Saturday morning.

Be really careful on Slaughterhouse. We were there a few weeks ago and were doing uncontrolled downhill slides in several places. If there is more snow and ice, which I would guess there is, you may not be able to get out without a winch.

well, there are several reasons....sometimes they are dangerous....sometimes the vegetation is to fragile to be on and sometimes it is for the wildlife habitat. mating and birthing and such. or really a number of other reasons.

You know how to avoid those slides right?
I done that all the time, gas it and if its a serious slide put it in reverse

Call forest service responsible for the area. They will let you know current status

Not within 45 minutes of Boulder, but the dunes at Walden (North Sand Hills OHV) are open year round. We went up, got into about a foot of snow + drifts up to bumper level.Click image for larger version

Kind of a long drive for a campfire and a weenie roast, but it was worth it!

Boulder is a lovely area. Biggest problem - It's 50 square miles surrounded by reality...
