I'm not trying to drown out. My Jeep is my DD. I'll make the trip, but if the water is dangerously high, I may be turning back early.

No worries, we'd be turning back as well. The wife would be none to happy about drowning her new DD. lol Or even getting the interior wet!

ha! water that deep would be about 6" above the top of my jeeps engine! it hasn't been that deep anytime i've been up.

if we go, we'll be the odd bunch and bring our f350, there are only so many fun trails you can take something like that on so we want to give her a chance to play. on the plus side, she has about 30" of air under the frame rails so we might stay dry!

Stay dry?! I'm taking my doors off most likely. If you can get dirty and have fun I'm all for it

Not worried about staying dry. Ill probably run no doors as well. I'm just worried about water in the engine. I don't care if I get wet. Bout time I got a bath anyway. Starting to get a little ripe.

Also, I know we decided June, but does anyone know what the actual date of the run will be? If one hasn't been decided, we need to do that soon so I can make sure I can get off work.

Haha but I'm the same way I was looking at this video a while back of a water proof intake cover not sure how well it works.

As for the date. Monday's and Tuesday's are honestly the best for me. And I might camp down there at night

That water plowed up into the engine cavity. We were seeing who could make the biggest splash. A good selling point to stay with a stock intake. That was before I installed the outerwear pre-filter on the K&N. Managed to get it started after a minute of cranking. I wasn't stepping out to pull cable that close to shore.

And maybe a stupid question but if you flood the engine will it always be able to be restarted or can you seize it forever

Maybe not seize, but you can bend rods and break pistons. Depends on the RPMs when the water gets in.

If it sucks so much water that it locks up, just pull the plugs and crank the water out. Then do a good service when ya get home
