Saran Wrap / Eagle Rock, Sunday 8/18

Alright, I can't run on Saturday but Sunday is a go for me. I'd like to meet in the Springs around 9am so we can potentially do Saran Wrap as well. I'm open to suggestions on a meeting point.

Eagle Rock was great last time but I've never run Saran Wrap. A guide would be awesome. Hope to see a bunch of you Sunday!

Every time I see this run I jump at it then talk myself out of it. Just worried that 33" and open diff with the boat loads of rain that area has gotten. I'm just worried I'd slow everyone down. Pretty sure I've got the clearance and flex to do it.

We'll both slow the group down

Saran Wrap is lot harder than ER...with the rain the washouts are huge! Lockers although not necessary will keep the group moving verses winching constantly. I'm sure ER has changed significantly too with all the rain. I was up on Old Stage this past week scouting for ARchery Bear season and even the road has washed out areas. Just providing information take it for what it's worth...

John, based on your intel, are you suggesting we stick to doing ER only? I don't want to get into a winching party situation on SW, so maybe that might be the best route to go. We got a stock 4dr. Sahara through ER last time with just some minor cosmetic "adjustments," but if it's washed out further that could make things interesting...

No not at all. Just providing information so everyone can make informed decisions whether to run the trail. this probably is Not a run for a Huge group or close to stock rigs. But of course everyone is welcome. An early start is a VERY good idea, maybe even 8-830 because by the time we meet get going then air down it could be 10 already then we still have to drive to trailhead. And as some learned last time we'll want to air down at the start of Old Stage

If either trail is wet I would imagine even the most capable rigs may need to winch. We did get the stock Sahara through ER last time... So a possibility Could be for individuals with closer to stock rigs to ride along with someone on SW then pick their rigs before we start ER as the entrance to SW & ER are relatively close to each other... Just a thought and MHO.

SW is a lot of fun with some great challenges and personally if I'm going up to do ER I'm going to do SW too!

John, can you suggest the best meeting point for the group? I hope you can make it for the run as it was great having you as a guide last time and much appreciated by all. I'm going to say we meet at 8:15 wherever we decide on. I have to be back in Denver around 5:30. I think Saran Wrap is still a go. Pumped for this run!

Hulk,
If you are looking to put together a Saturday run somewhere, I would be interested.

I would be interested in a Saturday run as well. Something not too difficult since I have to drive it to Utah Sunday morning.

I took mine off the first time in 13 years a few weeks ago with no problems. Doorless sounds like fun.
