Saturday April 7: Illinois Gulch

Justin and John both have new lifts to try out so next Saturday we'll be doing doing Illinois Gulch. Sunday, being Easter, is just too problematic so we'll do Saturday instead. Should be a good run, not too difficult but not a bunny trail either.

I would be, but does not seem like a beginner trail. I was considering running dakan road that same day though

Dakan Road is fun but a little to mild. Ive been craving the rocks ever since Left Hand Canyon. Me Katie and the mother-in-law may even be on board for this one.

Dakan Road is closed right now, along with Long Hollow. Might be able to do Illinois stock, not sure because I've only done pieces. No, it's not a beginner trail, but people keep doing some amazing things with stock jeeps in this group...

I've seen some stock jeeps do amazing things. They are trail rated for a reason. All of us are more than happy to help you through the harder parts.

That is very true, it will just take some stones on my part, and hopefully not a winch

Now I really have to hurry up and made those discos!

I seriously doubt that we'll see a rock big enough to require a ramp Difficult on the Rampart is not difficult in any real sense of the word. I have a tendency to fall asleep on Long Hollow and Dakan. I use the trails up there when I want a relaxing drive...

I've found the best way to learn is to follow someone and tweak their line if needed to suit your rig, it's all common sense when it comes to wheeling

Yeah, but the problem is in that neck of the woods we could just as easily end up in the Arkansas as on a trail...

I already told you where, dingaling. When is Saturday. Time, probably the usual 10:00. Don't want you dragging your poor aching bones into your Jeep at 06:00 two weekends in a row...
