Shift nob removal

Ok I just got a shift knob for an early Xmas present. The problem is, is I can't figure out how to get the stock knob off! I have a 2012 jk rubicon. Can someone tell me how to get the knob off. Thanks and if its really simple I'm gonna feel like an idiot :-)

Look at the new one. That should tell you everything you need to know.

I'm holding this info hostage in the name of a pic of the new shift knob.

P.s. I have no idea. The tj's screw on/off. I just wanna see the knob!

I hope the photos came through. If they didn't the knob is a billiard ball with a smooth shaft that has adjustment screws on 3 sides of the shaft. Brian, I'll understand if you want to withhold this vital information from a transplanted Bostonian. Lol

If its anything like the newer tj's you have to pry out the center cap take off the lock nut inside then screw off the knob. Kinda a pita but idk how the jk knobs come off

Brian TJ - no screws. Looks like I might have to get a screwdriver out and try to pry the top cap or the silver ring around the top cap

Frozen, that looks kind of harsh, but I may end up going that route. Thanks
