Shut up and Jeep!

I broke in my new forestry service map today. I went up Mt. Herman Rd to Rampart Range Rd, down FSR 351 to FSR 350 to the Rainbow Falls Trail Head parking lot, Headed north on Hwy 67 to West Creek Rd, went south on it to County Rd 3, took a right and headed for FSR 366. Followed it all the way to FSR 362 and then followed County Road 51 back to Divide.

So who's up for some wheeling tomorrow?

I don't know where yet, tell me where you are located and I'll pick something in the middle - I'm in Colorado Springs, but I have a full tank of gas and all day.

Update: What about twin cone? or something around in that area?

If someone can help me air up afterwards, I'd be interested. Compressor broke last time out. In Denver.

I'm in Windsor/Fort Collins. Nate is on call and trying to get someone to cover him right now. Pick a place and I will see what he comes up with and let you know ASAP.

I've been rolling on 15psi all week after spring creek saturday. Too cold to air up haha.

I really want to hit twin cone, never been. But I'm not free this weekend.

Jocjk lives up there. I don't think I will hear back soon enough. PM Jocjk and I would think he would go with you. He would also be able to let you know about the snow on the trails up there. Post a time and place to meet and if Nate hears back, I'll let you know
VIA posting. I'm thinking these guys are in bed for the night.

Jocjk posted the high trails are done for the year unless you like winching parties.

I saw JocJK's post... I'm all for going as far as I can get. My Jeep has a pretty good reverse gear in it.

There are at least 5 other trails nearby, and I'm counting on some snow.

I'm heading out there in the morning. I will plan on getting to the trailhead on Hwy 285 by 1000 hrs, will monitor CB Channel 4. That gives folks time to get out there if they're coming from Denver.

If you don't mind coming closer.... we could do lefthand for sure even on call. I was there last weekend and it was in good shape. There is also a shooting range. Not sure that interests you, but I thought I would throw that out there

I'll check the board in the morning, I could do Left Hand as well, and a shooting range would give me an excuse to put an extra clip or two in the Jeep.

Had an awesome day, I appreciate you guys being flexible because technically I was still "oncall" and I figure that I have cell service through most of Left Hand!! It may have been a fast decent if I did get called though!!! LOL
Anyway, ended up being an awesome day, It was chilly up there but no wind. No leaks, breaks, cracks or bruises, though Paula almost scared the Sh*t out of me once (or twice) LOL

Who could ask for more than good company, jeeps, guns, and ending the day with fish and chips and a beer?

Always tougher being a passenger than the driver. I was relaxed and able to enjoy myself much more the second time around. No fear here this time around. I think it will be that way more and more often as I start to hit the same runs over again. I don't like the anxiety of unfamiliar trails. So I was chilling out and jamming some cool tunes.
