Angry Stolen Tacoma

Hey all.

I know this is a complete shot in the dark but I figure that it couldn't hurt putting it out there.

Sometime the during the night of 2/16 or morning of 2/17 someone stole my 75 year old dads 2000 Toyota Tacoma from his home in SW Denver. They didn't know the impact of this...

My dad is currently caring for my sister and nephew after a severe ankle surgery. He is taking my nephew from SW Denver to Cherry Creek High School. He also volunteers 4 days a week picking up and delivering food to local food banks.

He has my wife's Trailblazer for the rest of the week because she is out of town on business. However it is only temporary.

So if any out there sees it please report to the police.

2000 Toyota Tacoma TRD Brown w/Black trim. Two broncos stickers on the back window and a broncos/Comcast license plate. Plate # 19740AB

Thanks all, it sucks. I am feeling for my dad, that was the nicest thing he's ever owned. Raising 8 kids will do that, talked to him earlier and he is pretty sad about it now after it has sunk in... I figure that after 72 hours the chances of finding it somewhat intact are really low, if at all. Good news is that he is looking at a JK He'd probably go a few years older and keep it pretty stock but I am trying to convenience him to come to the "dark side".

Good news story, we were notified Monday that the truck had been recovered. They placed a hold on it at the impound lot until today. I took my dad down there and besides a jacked up ignition it is good to go! Not only mechanically but every last thing that was in it when stolen was still in it! I am not sure I've ever seen that look of relief and happiness on my dads face.

Nothing disgusts me more than thieves. I initially wasn't going to read through all the replies and just post what I had to say...but I'm glad I did. That is great news! Your dad sounds like an awesome man...for somebody like this; I was going to say, post exactly what you posted on WF to social media. If everyone reading sent $1 to a paypal account, I guarantee you, he'd end up with enough cash for another truck. I know I'd donate.

Best wishes to your dad...

Lorie

Even more awesome news that everything is still in it. Maybe the thief or thieves had a change of heart?

Thanks everyone, it was a huge relief...

They think it was part of that big auto theft ring that was busted a couple of weeks ago and they dumped it. It sat for 2 weeks in the same spot before they'd look at it as an abandoned vehicle and then figured it was stolen. But none the less he has it back intact and is loving it. Score: Good Guys = 1 bad guys = 0 (in this case).
