I'm down in the BV area right now sitting at chinaman. I'd rather do this one with a group since its not scenic so if nobody shows up soon, would you consider this trail? And is that too far away from your location? I'm probably going to be down here a few days checking out some of the scenic trails, Billings lake, etc.

I just walked up carnage canyon and back down the parallel section of holy cross. Holy cross is rated a 7 and it seemed like a solid 7 in a few places of that section.

We are planning on Pierson Park, Pole Hill, Caribou, and Yankee Hill. Gonna try to run all. I have a fellow stock Jeeper coming and he doesn't get out much.

And yes Brian, we are the cool kid club

I honestly don't know all the details. Chad is technically organizing this run, I'm just along for the mud and ride

OK so I will create a thread for this but right now this is where I am at. Let me know if you like it Amy

Yankee hill across to Kingston. there is usually a late drift in the cross over but if it is melted we will continue across and over Kingston peak. If it's not passable I was thinking maybe head over to Jenny Creek after Yankee. by the time we ran these either way it would be a fairly long outing.
Up to you though since you haven't been on the trail in a few.

Not sure if you know this, but Kingston now has seasonal gates. One at the Apex intersection and one at the top of Alice. And I guess there's a sign on both gates that they'll be opened July 15th.

If you do get through, let me know, because we were hoping to run that same area that next week.

Some of you know I live right down the road from that trail complex; I've been checking it out for the last few weeks. Although the trail looks fairly dry all the way up to Kingston Peak, they still have the gate closed as of this last Tuesday... you can get up to the big puddle, but about a quarter mile past that the gate blocks the kingston peak trail.

Chad's idea of heading back down Mammoth Gulch and then hitting Rollins Pass to Jenny Creek may be doable, though. I was out there about two weeks ago and was able to make it to the Jenny Creek trailhead... a couple other jeeps were trying JC but I didn't try it with them; there was a surprising amount of snow up there still and I wasn't even able to make it much closer the the lake on Rollins Pass trail. If I get a chance, I'll try to check it out again before the weekend and post up my results here.
