Tax Info Vehicle Payment reciept

Does anyone know where I can get a reprint of the taxes I paid for tags? I think I may have lost mine and give that it's $700 that I believe is partially tax deductible I would like to find it. Also is any other part of my vehicle purchase tax deductible? thanks

The ownership tax for your plates is deductible. Should be able to get a copy from your county motor vehicle office.

I think you can find it on your vehicle registration as well?

By the way... E-file! Make my job easier

Ok so what all can I write off? Can I write off both the tags and some part of the purchase as well?

I'm looking forward to writing off the taxes I paid on my jeep since I paid Co Springs Taxes instead of Summit County which is almost a 2.5% difference. You've stated that you use your vehicle for work alot so obviously you can write off a portion of your mileage.

I keep 2 vehicles, my jeep and my Range Rover, I write off ALL fuel, service, tires, mileage, etc for the Rover which I dedicate as my "work" vehicle. This makes it easier to total out the deduction at year end.

If you classify it as mixed use, break down the mileage and pro rate the portion allocated to business use (deducting commuting mileage from the total). PM me if you want a more detailed breakdown. I'd be happy to help. Saves me a couple thousand a year .
