Thanks and yes a lot of changes. Now that I am working on my own rig, things get a little more affordable.
A good friend of mine was ranting and raving over the set-up, then I went wheeling with one of Metalcloak's sponsored vehicles a few times and saw them in action. From my own personal experience, after the install, I tested them in town disconnected and the Jeep was more stable then when it was connected with my old suspension. In my opinion, when connected, the stability and control is just as good as a stock JK. I am really impressed with the set-up.
Here is a portion of Metalcloak's description and a 4Wheel Drive Magazine review of the 6Pak:
"Upgrade from the standard shocks and get the performance of the longest travel shock available anywhere with bolt-on simplicity!
The MetalCloak 6-Pak Shock Upgrade System is just what you need to get a fantastic road ride, unprecedented off-roading articulation and to maximize the wheel travel unleashing the full potential of your Game Changer suspension."
According to 4Wheel Drive Magazine: "The MetalCloak 3.5-inch suspension for JK has more articulation and more wheel travel than a normal 6-inch lift"
I am running a 4.5" Game-Changer 6Pak suspension, for the exception of the front and rear track bars. I can attest to the on road handling, but haven't had her on the trail yet. The rear axel shafts are getting replaced tomorrow. I put a 60 on the rear and I thought I was good to go, especially on 37s. I am not sure how I bent them, but I did. However, Teraflex is replacing both rear axle shafts, under warranty; they even expedited the order. No questions asked (other than when did you purchase the axle).
I am running Holy Cross and Chinaman Gulch this weekend at the Set Them Free Event. I can give you my opinion on how it handled off road afterwards. Marquitta told me that she talked to you, I hope you can make it.
WOW! It looks like I got a little gabby... Ok, I did.
