tire decisions

I am currently running BF Goodrich KM2's on my rig, (no complaints) It's almost time for some new shoes tho. So I'm kicking around the Maxxis Bighorn or staying with the KM2's. Any input on the Maxxis tire would be appreciated. I'm running 35's and will stay with 35's.

Never ran Maxxis, but I LOVED my KM2's when I had them.

From what I hear the maxxis do okay offroad and wear slowly on road but have a pretty rough ride.

I think you should check out the general grabber red letters. Nothing but beef and are quiet on road and they kept me from smashing into the idiot that stopped at a yellow light.

Until someone makes a better MT than MTRs, I'll stick with them.

Seems all the lighter/smaller rigs really do well on the mtr out here. I was never impressed with them on my jk, no real gripes just kind of unpredictable on my rig. Far as I know Ed loves my old MTRs.

I'm running 37"s, and my partner is running 40" MTRs, smaller rigs?

Good info guys, like I said I have no real complaints about the km'2. MTZ's are also in consideration. My TJ is a 50/50 vehicle, nothing real hard core, but I do wheel it.

Mtrs would work well for you. Have a stronger sidewall then km2s

Again, thanks for all the input. It's narrowed down to three tire choices.

We will see how well discount can price them. I really like their warranty that you can buy from them.

I picked up the pro comp mud terrain xtreme's. so far been very impressed with their performance. I ended up with them as 4wheelparts was doing a buy three get one free sale. I believe that promotion is back. They also do a warranty that s pretty impressive and I regret not signing up for

I have maxxis but creepy crawlers. I do not suggest the bighorn they are heavy, plus the km2's have a deeper tread. I know much as if your still curious, also I will take your handmydown tires..

I think I'm going with the KM2 once again, I have no complaints, they have done everything I have asked from them, and their wearing so good,
I will be wanting to sell 5-35" 12.50 with some good tread life. 4 km2 and one Goodyear (its my spare). I don't expect to get rich from the sale if you know what I mean.

Had 35 km2 just sold 4 used and 1 new for $650.00 about 45% tread life on them.
