If the leaves are changing this would be a beautiful run for anyone interested in a scenic trail ride. I've run the trail twice, once in the summer (green leaves) and once in the winter (no leaves). There are areas of the trail where the trees close in on you and it's like going through "tunnels" of aspen trees. Both times i've run it i spent half the ride telling my wife, "we really need to hit this trail when the leaves are changing, it has to be beautiful".
If you're into scenic trail rides and someone's able to confirm the leaves are changing up there I'd say do whatever you need to do to make this run.
I'm at 7,500 feet about 45 min from there and our leaves aren't changing here yet so I'm not sure they're turning on Twin Cone but I guess they could be changing up there where it's a few thousand feet higher.
Either way it's a beautiful trail. If you're lucky enough to catch the Aspens changing that's just the icing on the cake!
