URGENT: Help needed near Georgetown, CO

Two of our friends are stuck on Saxon Mt. Rd outside Georgetown CO. His cell # is 360-286-3128. They are about 4-5 miles up the road, near the Spring Gulch Intersection, at least that's what I'm understanding from the phone call. They have one rig off the road, one rig with two blown tires. Started out a nice day and are now stuck in a major snow storm. Rigs are running and they have cell signal and chargers, but are desperate for some help. I BELIEVE the rig with two blown beads is 35's and 5 on 5.5". Try calling Myke or myself and I will relay info if ANYBODY can help.

John M (I'm in WA state helping out) 253 740 7192.

I believe they are on their way down the mountain based on Kaleb's last post on Facebook.

Well... Maybe I gave you too much credit then.

You're not getting it... it's not ALL about YOU. When you make a poor decision, other people are put in danger as well. Even if one of us doesn't go to do the rescue, one of my friends that are on S&R will be the ones risking themselves because you took the risk.

At some point you have to realize that there's more to this than risking some equipment & maybe a tow... people die doing this shit, and people risk their lives to go get them.

Some dumbass died in the sierras because he thought it would be cool to go wheeling in the mountains. He's dead & his wife is missing a husband.

I realized this many many years ago when I was up wheeling alone off Old Stage road, at 1:00 am, in January and got stuck in the snow. Luckily I had an old "bag phone." Yes, this was like 1990. The problem was that I had to walk 3 miles, in the dark back down Old Stage until I could get reception. I also didn't have a coat but did have a blanket. I did not see a vehicle while I was walking down the road for those 3 hours. Made a phone call, to the Springs, the people there wouldn't help (annoying story there but actually a good thing) they relayed a message to Teller county sheriff who came out and got a Vickers tow truck to pull me out. Made it back to the Springs at 7:30 am.

For a quick game, can we find all the absolutely stupid mistakes I?

It was at this time that I realized, when you get down to it, whenever people are sent out to rescue you, it is probably because you did something stupid. You can usually trace these situations back to a point where you can say "I shouldn't have done that." "or I should have done this."

"If I screw up, somebody will come save me. They always do."

My wife picked up something called Spot Tracker for me this Christmas. It a satellite link device that I can use to communicate through my cell phone. It not only sends my message, but a google map position from where I send it. It also links to 911 services.

Hahahahaha please tell me you saw this in person and didn't just find the pic on the net.

This looks the time I got the golf cart stuck in a flower bed box full of mud when I was six and got to watch my dad try to carry it out

I wish I saw this in person, but I just reposted a photo. I was hoping to find a jeep high centered on a shopping cart.
