Vacation in Durango this summer, need some trail info.

Hi!

I'm driving out from San Diego this summer, I'll be in Durango for about 8-9 days. Can someone recommend me some trails? I'm looking for some scenic and fun trails that I can take the girlfriend with that she will enjoy, and then some more challenging ones when I leave her at the pool

Is Black bear fun? or just nerve wracking? lol

Thanks!!!!!

Bolam Pass doesn't look too far away and could be a straight forward, scenic trail for you and the lady. TrailDamage.com - Bolam Pass

There are some good woods out by Bayfield, east of Durango on 160.

And if you don't go see Messa Verde, it's a wasted trip.

Agreed you must see Mesa Verde.
Trails? You will be near the most amazing places on earth for a jeeper. Engineer pass is a must and if your qualified black bear. There are many trails near the Silverton Ouray area.
Check out trail damage for more.
You can also google engineer on you tube. Black bear as well. It's worth the look to see.
