Don't think so, you're liable to end up at Carnage or the wrong side of Holy Cross

Would I like to run with them? Yes

Would I like what happened to my rig in the process and what it looked like in the end? Probably not

They're a good group of guys and I'm sure it would be fun to run with them as they'd push anyone to do more, respectively, but I'm not up for carnage canyon yet. Maybe some day

No, I run carnage I want to be in the driver's seat

I was talking to Jeff one day and we got on the subject of Carnage. His attitude was "It's not that bad, you just can't worry about body damage". Well if I had their shop I guess I wouldn't worry about body damage either. I fully intend to run Independence this summer and I'm already cringing about what my Jeep is going to look like afterwards

No, I'm crazy. By this summer I'll have my jeep to the point where I should be able to do it. So I'm gonna do it

For me to do independence I would need a new junker jeep that's already beat up. I couldn't take my baby down there.

I'm shooting for Liberty next summer. A good buddy who goes down to Indy a lot says its a good test run because you get out before things get 'really' nasty. It's just metal right...haha

Maybe I'll head out to watch and pick up any stray parts that fall off their rigs so I can upgrade mine... haha

I didn't have any other than some undercarriage scrapes. My buddy in his rubiLJ broke the ears of the driver side shaft.

Had to winch him out. Quick fix then we were back on the highway.

You put your tummy tuck in right ? That made the biggest difference for me.

When you are ready I'll go with you. I had to pull cable once but that's what happens when you don't listen to exactly what your spotter says. Considering my diffs are open I'm happy with how the day turned out.

I'll post a trip report later with its own thread.

I did something today at Eagle Rock. Not sure what it is, but something is out of balance. Hope it's just a drive shaft.

There was an abandoned red tj up there about 1/4 way up. could see his rear driveshaft hanging down.

Had Idaho plates. dang, I could have had a spare jeep

I was about to be super impressed.

I don't think I'm going back till I get some corners and hopefully high lines.

Dudes, I think doing any of those three with open diffs is amazing.

Yeah, I'm armored up pretty good, have the Rokmen belly pan and gas tank skid. Weak point are clearance on the 35's and gearing. The 4.10's just do not cut it. I'll be switching to 4 inch springs just to get a solid 3 inches of lift. The armor is really dragging it down. Have to open up the rear wheel wells, I'm grinding front and back. Also the four link, all the pieces are laying here I just need to lock down the geometry and put it together. Oh, yeah, and triple the thickness of my link tubes. Turned one into a horseshoe last weekend.

Other than that I'm good to go (snort!)
