Not sure if I'm wanting to go to ejs and not have anyone to wheel with. And dont want all the best trails to be reserved for the event.

I'm gonna go for a few days for sure. Just don't know which ones yet.
I plan to spend a couple of day in Montrose either before or after and still need to figure out which would be better.

To Ejs? Or in may? We are going to probably go through Montrose and into gateway colorado and take the gateway trail into moab.

I'll be out there at least the last weekend. Also you will find nice people to wheel with easily. I went out there by myself one year and met a lot of new people.

The best trails aren't reserved everyday. You will have the opportunity to run any trail you want.

What are you planning to run in Montrose? How about Moab? I'm still unsure of dates but I will be out that way for about a week.... Also looking to run a few in Grand Junction soon.

I need to stop dicking around and knock out a few last things on my jeep to get ready......

Also where is everyone staying? I am hoping to find a pop up camper that I can rent to slide in the bed of the pickup.... Otherwise I will be tenting it... Hopefully not all the way up Kane Canyon this time. A.) towing and b.) the simple waste of gas would offset something closer to town.

I hear there are a couple of fun trails just outside of town (Montrose) and we are also going to do a little research on some property while we're out there. then I plan to meet up with Mike on the way back to hit 21 road in GJ.
I will probably be staying with a group of friends that have a lage camp site reserved. They invited me a couple of weeks ago to stay. I can check and see if the have some more space. Pretty sure they do.
just rough dispersed kinda stuff. No showers or anything.
Moab trails are kinda open for me. would like to hit Rusty Nail and Golden Spike but I am open. They all rock!!

Couple of us have been talking about last weekend of EJS but we all agree as we get older we have less tolerance for the "crazy stupidity" that happens when large groups form... Probably wait till EJS is over and the crowds are gone...

That would be awesome!!! Showers are easily had for 5.00 at any of the commercial spots in town.

I'd love to run Rusty Nail and Golden Spike again..... Coyote Canyon is also HIGH on my list but we'd want to make reservations to get on it..... 21 rd + Billings are my Grand Junction wish list.

As for Montrose some of the Wheeling there looks flat out vicious. Die tryin, calamity, and cactus canyon look HARD but doable, Boulder Canyon looks flat out nasty.

I'll keep in touch with you guys about GJ. I'm thinking 21rd is probably all I want to chew off after a long weekend.

Prolly not, I have to take care of some parts in the jeep before she's ready for something big like that.

Cool we'll be there Friday night to Monday afternoon.

Rusty Nail, Behind the Rocks, and Steel Bender are all on my to do list. Oh and Top of the World for sure. I'd like to take a shot at Pritchett but may be biting off more than I can chew with no lockers. Jeep might not be so pretty afterwards.

Justin, Mike
I have e-mailed KOA and am waiting for a response. Hopefully they aren't all booked up already. Would be nice to hook the Camper up to utilities.
