Winch

There's a guy in Nevada selling a Warn XD9000i, says he used it for 2 flat pulls and that's it. $700 shipped. Is this a good deal, good winch etc?

Warn XD9000i Self Recovery Winch

I know Warn is considered to be top of the line but wanted to see if anyone has any feedback on this model. I haven't done enough research to know the difference between the VR, CTI and XD models......

They seem to have a good pull rate. And I like have the 9000 lb capacity. Just nice knowing if I get really stuck I still have a chance. I also like the look of the non movable control housing, but they make them with the movable boxes also.

Hmm guess I haven't done my research. I felt like all the Warn products were $900 plus......I may have to look into that.

The Ramsey on Craigslist is a higher end/American made model like most warns. The Vr series are produced overseas and branded as warn...... Not sure if that matters.... But when I was doing my own winch purchase, Ramsey and Warn seemed hand in hand.

Scratch that!

Better idea: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Warn m8000 shipped for 649.00. Plus there is an 80.00 rebate from warn right now . Net price $569.00 shipped. And no gas bill going to Denver.

I feel like a psychic..... Next post will be from John: "Ordered!"

The VR winches are nowhere near the quality of that 9000i.

Personally I'd offer the guy 600 for that thing & get it coming.

The 9000 is a really nice winch, I've got exactly that same one on mine, but with synthetic, and I love it.
