Winch and bumper party?

Looks like my JCR bumpers will be showing up tomorrow. If I can get them bed lined in time, anyone want to give me a hand installing them and the winch? Thinking either August 3rd or 4th would be the best days.

I'll even throw in beer and pizza if you guys just want to hang out for a bit.

Come on!! You had to know someone would go there.... I'll give you hand, we'll figure something out.

Start spraying all the nuts with PB Blaster, everyday....

We have a JK. I've got basic hand tools and limited air tools. I don't think it is really going to take much to pull the bumpers off and put the new ones on, but it's always better to have buddies around. The main thing I don't want to screw up is putting the winch on correctly and pre-winding the thing.

It's getting bed lined to match the other parts of the Jeep. The rear bumpers is schedule to arrive on Tuesday, so I'm hoping I can schedule them to be sprayed on the 31st or 1st so that they can get installed on the 3rd or 4th. We leave for Ouray on the 5th. lol

Both bumpers are getting sandblasted today, bed lined on Thurs and Fri. So, going to be installing these on Sat. who wants to hang out and give a hand. Say 10am my place? Plenty of time to wrench on others too.

Thatd be better for me. Not much I really need to do. Maybe put some of my old front shocks with better bushings on. Guess we could trouble shoot my winch.

How about 9. I'll match up the sizes of the hardware for the shocks but they'll take like 10 minutes.

Anyone have and know how to use bearing grease? I've got to pack the spindle bearings on the tire carrier.

No worries Justin. Steve is going to make it still and he has done bumpers before. We'll see about the winch though!

Well, this was not a simple bolt on bumper. Took us 8 hours to do the front bumper and winch. The rear bumper is going to have to wait

Yeah, the bolts that hold the bumper on did not line up with the holes in the bumper frame. Had to wallow them out and hand file them and then it was still a bear to get on. The bottom outside bolts were over a 1/4 off.

Thanks again for the help Steve... I think I'd still be working on it if I was doing it by my self!
