Detroit to Moab

The wife and I are looking into making a trip in Late May.
The Jeep is my daily driver so we are cautious with what we run.

I'd like to find a group to hit some of the trails, but we'll probably do some sight seeing on some easy trails alone.

I think Hells Revenge I'd do with a group as that is about as extreme as we'd do.

Can Top of the World, Gemini Bridge and Bull Canyon Trail be done solo?
We want to do some hiking as well.

Looking for suggestions for some scenic areas.
Thanks
Paul

I've been to Moab a couple of times but have not done any "extreme" trails. First get the Wells book, it's excellent. Guide to Moab, UT Backroads & 4-Wheel-Drive Trails: Charles A. Wells, Shelley Mayer: 9781934838068: Amazon.com: Books

The City Market is at the south end of Main St, people meet there to form groups, just be kinda early.

We did Gemini Bridge from the bottom which is pretty rough but no real problem. We did not go to Bull Canyon because of time issues. A great drive for us was out Potash Rd to the Schaffer Trail up to Island in the Sky. It was raining pretty hard or we would have taken Long Canyon back down. Make sure to visit Dead Horse Pt S.P.

Win

I was in Shelby Twsp for my God Daughters wedding a year ago, hard to believe you're so close to Detroit.

That's too funny.
Definately a small world. We're about 24 miles north of Detroit.

Well, the wife booked a Bed and Breakfast in Moab for May 31st through June 4th!

The kids are a little upset that they aren't included, but it's My 50th Birthday and they both working and are old enough to go anywhere they want. Even though at 20 and 22 they still want to live at home! LOL

Irina and her husband live in Clinton Twsp. I couldn't believe how nice it was out there, semi rural. Her wedding was at the Greystone GC.

You'll have a great time in Moab, hope we stay in touch. Let me know which B&B you stayed at, we'd love a good recommendation.
