Amazing! Bow or black powder? Where? So many details... Granted the pictures say a thousand words. I'm taking my nephew to south of Fish Lake tomorrow, doubt we'll be bringing home pictures of anything like that but you never know.

We hunt Parker (can't remember the area, used to be Southern) so not far from Loa. We usually go into Loa after we have filled our tags to get gas and eat at a small diner (can't remember the name). I am leaning towards going down into the Big Hollow this year now I have something that can handle getting me to the rim of it. Unless you could direct me towards a big one... I'll be back down there for the rifle hunt. This weekend is for my nephew's first deer hunt.

To tell you the truth, I'm not too familiar with Fish Lake either. But I know the area west of Loa like the back of my hand. Big hollow is a large ravine just southwest of Loa where some large deer have been seen but most haven't tried to go after them because of how inaccessible it is (even for quad runners/4 wheelers). The Jeep isn't going to make it easy, just easier than it would be otherwise. In addition to the Jeep a couple long retired climbing lines will make pulling a buck out and up the ~300-400 ft ravine likely.

Yeah means something totally different. For a minute there I thought that was a Jeep term. I'm all for packing out but with my kids in tow ages 6 to 10 I can't hunt like I did before I had kids (I take them because I want them to learn and their mother while supportive doesn't care to go hunting herself).

Well keep us posted! I'll buy a magazine if you're in it (I'll tell my kids: "I know that guy that got that one". It counts towards dad's weird points because they know I really don't actually know you

Went backpacking in Grand Gulch near Blanding last week. SE Utah/SW CO is not an area where you want to "get one" - with your car, that is. Miles of highway with electronic sensor warnings for deer crossing roads. On Saturday we went past a small car that just had one go part way through the front windshield at about 10 in the morning. Many police and rescue units involved.

Shoot as many as you can.
