Mineral basin. Ive run on 31's with a rear locker 2 years ago. I am sure it's changed some since then. I know Jeepforum has a group of 20 rigs going up on sat the 26th.
How I wish I had a Rubi.. Then I can go ANYWHERE I want... I'm still on a 29"..and no flex at all...

Ditch the rear swaybar on your Xj then make some home made disconnects for the front it'll flex then

Tom's right, add some flex and that will help immensely.

I ran Mineral Basin for the first time 3 weeks ago with my stock JKUR, so 32"s, disconnects, and I may have used a rear locker once, I think. The rock garden was easier than expected, so it must have tamed down over the years. I took it slow and careful, but of course added some scrapes to the skids along the way.

Also played chicken with some moose on the trail and picked up a lost couple on a date who were trying to hike to Pittsburg Lake...never a boring day with a jeep...

What route/trails are you taking? If I can I'd love to get out and meet some fellow Jeepers.

Possibly Forest Lake. We're still finalizing the plan. Come on out we'd love to have a few more along. It's a good group.

Not one of ours, but he's welcome to come along. We're planning to meet at Tibble Fork around 10:30.

A few of us are meeting this morning for breakfast at Jim's off of 106th at 9:00 and then we will meet at Tibble Fork between 10:00 and 10:30 and head up the canyon around 10:30. We haven't decided if we are going just up and over or hitting Mary Ellen's or Forest Lake on the way over.

I may be up for a trip on the 9th BUUUT I'm a little strained for time and would have to be back in Lehi by 4. I haven't done much wheeling since moving out here.

We haven't set a time yet, but we usually go pretty early 4 shouldn't be a problem.

I've driven the loop twice in the last week and it's been patchy with ice at the summit but not terrible. I don't know at what point they close it though.

Over on RME they stated it was closed as of last weekend.

A group of us are heading out to 5-mile Saturday morning. Don't have a definitive time yet but will post once we do. Some of us up north are meeting in Clearfield and traveling down together.

Anyone is welcome to join us.

Mike.

Okay, here is the final plan if anyone wants to join in on the fun.

Some of us further north will meet at the Maverick in Clearfield (700 S 1500 E) @ 8:00 and then head down to the second meeting point at the Chevron on the corner of Redwood Road and Hwy 73 around 9:00 or shortly after. We will then head out to the snakes together from there.

Mike.

Sounds good. That is usually when we try to be leaving as well.

Where will you be meeting up with us? Clearfield Maverick or Redwood Road Chevron?

Great. We will see you there. We will be in a black JKU and my son in his khaki (sage) LJ as well. We will have Forbidden Jeeps windshield banners.
