Constrictor? Not remotely (if you're stock).

The great thing about Little Moab is that it isn't a trail--it's a playground. You are never forced to make your way through a series of obstacles which you have to overcome just to get to the end. Instead, you can pick and choose what you try. One obstacle looks too tough? No big deal; just skip it and go try something else instead.

Rattlesnake is a trail, but it's pretty tame overall if you want/need it to be. The largest rocks are optional and generally can be easily bypassed. A budget boosted TJ on 31s can easily sail on through this trail, and a stock one would probably still be okay with careful line selection in just a few spots. A stock JK ought to have no troubles with it, either.

Constrictor, on the other hand, is a whole 'nuther animal. If you don't have rocker guards and large tires, you'll seriously regret having attempted this trail (unless bent sheet metal and underbody scrapes/gouges don't phase you). Without heavy mods, it would be wise to first experience this trail as a passenger in someone else's rig--this way you can decide if you really want to try it.

I'd always be willing to take a passenger along.

(The hard part for me is finding time to get out there in the first place.)

Here is the best advice you'll ever receive: start saving for a new rear axle right now.

Oh trust me, the savings began the day I bought it. I'm gonna ride it til it breaks and then worry about it.

I'm guessing you're talking about Differential gears... Do you already have the parts bought or will you order/buy the new gear parts through whoever does your upgrade?

Hello everyone. We just recently moved to Farmington from Kansas City and are interested in getting together for a meet and greet and the trail runs. We are actually heading down to Moab for the first time this weekend. The JKU is only slightly modified so we will be sticking to the moderate runs for now.

I can vouch that Mr. zmotorsports is a total guru (check out his build thread). He probably won't be available to do your gears for you coz everyone on wranglerforum is trying to move in next door to him coz of his genius and he may be helping them move in.... He he.
But anyway if cash is not a concern for you, any of the dealers should do it (Doug Smith or Larry H in Provo) but they take foreeever to get it done. I know a place in Orem called Ultimate 4x4, they're on State street and about 1000 North Orem. Check them out.
I repaired my rear D35 4.88 with a detroit locker at 4wheel parts in Salt Lake. (Truck Parts & Truck Accessories in Salt Lake City, UT 84104)
I also think Teraflex on close to the 5300 South (Murray) exit is a good place.

If you have any specific gear questions I would be glad to try and answer them for you. You can PM me if you don't want to ask on the open forum.

Mike.

What days are you going to be in Moab? I should be able to do a trail or two on Sat.

Unfortunately we wont be down until late Saturday night but we are staying until Tuesday afternoon. We are staying at the Archview resort with some family so we will be jeeping, mountain biking, and 4 wheeling. We are hoping to spend the early mornings running some of the trails.

The wilderness to the west of Utah lake is on fire. For those who live out there; Eagle Mountain, Elberta etc, hope your homes/farms are safe from the raging flames. We can see smoke from far and it can't be good. Stay safe guys.

Ya, I hope everyone and their homes are safe. We saw the smoke all the way to the north up to my house in West Point yesterday afternoon.

Not a good sign this early in the year.

Thanks guys,

I havent been on in a few days I'm in the process of a move to midvale. I already have an eaton e locker. Plus a dana 44 sitting in the bed of my truck because I haven't had time to put it on. I wanted to run 4.10's as I'm sure I won't be getting to crazy right away. Im trying to get the axles taken care of before the lift. I went through the break and upgrade process on my truck and I won't do that again.
