Cool Newbie would like to go on 2nd annual Barlow run

I'm a newbie to WF, and just sold my Cj-7 and bought a wrangler rubicon unlimited. And have not had a chance to do anything yet! This run sounds perfect! ;-) looking forward to it! Crane guy

Rats. Can't make this as we're out of town. Any chance you could send me a map or description of the route? I may try and do the trail at a later date.

Thx!

Number of Jeep's for this event has been reached

I am sorry to say at this time we have reached the number of jeeps we can safely take on this event so we cannot add anyone else to this event.

For those of you that have committed to going on the Barlow Road event, I look forward to meeting you on September 1st at 8:00am at the McDonald's in Sandy, Oregon.

Yeah that is why we had to put the cap on it. We hate doing that, but when the group gets to large it takes longer to get through things and people stop having fun.

Too bad I won't be around for this. New to the Forums after picking up a Rubicon and I cannot wait to get out on the trails.

I work in Afghanistan and get too little time at home. But the Jeep has my wife excited about froading again, she really has not been into it since my last Jeep left me (15 years ago). Now with kids (who are excited too) it's something we can do together and have a great time.

Meanwhile, I work hard to play hard and look foreward to meeting you all and picking brains as I plan the build.

There is a parallel thread for this run on SW Washington & NW Oregon Group thread and there is a limit to number of Jeeps that can go on this run with a waiting list. If you want to go be sure to sign up on that thread today.

Long day for sure but everyone that went had a great time. Glad we were in our Jeep and not in covered wagon on the original trail. Dave and Doris, thanks for all of the research and time you put into preparation for this time it really made it interesting.
