6/26/11 Day trip for lunch and back

Hello all ~
Just seeing if anyone is interested in a little day trip, I did this trip on my motorcycle last year and it was great, and at the time just kept thinking how much fun it would be in the Jeep. Heres the details;
~ Meet at the Mcdonalds in Sandy Oregon by 8am (Sunday June 26,2011)depart by 8:15 head up to the Barlow road trail head, take the Barlow road trail over to Wamic, OR. have a burger in Wamic at the Sportsman Pub & Grub and head back the same way we came, last year we were back in Sandy at around 3 pm, so.... doing it in Jeeps I'm guessing well be back around 5. This is a family trip and a stock Wrangler with Off Road tires should be able to navigete just fine. I'm guessing that most of the snow has melted by now, but PLEASE plan ahead and GO PREPARED.
Please respond if interested,

I did this last year in the JK by myself, very simple trail not technically challenging at all. I even saw Ford 500's navigate parts of it. Be sure to bring a shovel, snack, warm clothing. Be prepared as fallen trees or limbs are not unusually especially after the winter we had.

I had a friend up in the area last week and he said most of the snow was except for some shaded areas.

*****UPDATE*****
We will be leaving the McDonalds at 10am, it seems some people will be attending church in the morning and would feel more comfortable with 10am.

Thanks for coming, I was a little bummed that we couldn't finish the trip when we were nearly to the end of the trail, but... I think its more important not to plit up when your'e out in the middle of nowhere.I think we made the right choice by bailing early. I'm going to plan the trip to do the south side that ends up in Bend, I'll keep you posted and will be working with you folks too. It will be an overnighter and cover a greater distance.
