A few Sand Lake pics

Went down to Sand Lake with a bunch of friends last weekend...the sand was in great condition since the storm last week. No rain Friday or Saturday.

Just a few pics of the Jeep:

Not this one...but in the past "as a passenger". We learned that longer brake lines (or limiting straps) are a good idea when jumping dunes.

We need to go back there again.

We've been to Florence and SL this year.

Most of the time we just sand camp since many of us have bought toyhaulers. We used to go down more often, but with fuel prices what they are, it's tougher to get all the toys down there to play. Race fuel is like $10.50 a gallon now.

Air down to 12-15 psi and you will quickly lose that fear. I got stuck once (high centered) and the nice thing is that sand is very easy to shovel.

In fact I drive my dually and 5th wheel out on the sand aired down...just sucks airing up and down 12 tires. LOL

Thumbs up

I sold my outlander bombs two years ago, and just sold my toyhauler in Sept of this year. 21' TAHOE.. It was the only smaller toyhauler with a 100 gallon freshwater tank on it.
Two weeks hunting, camping was not a problem.

I'm guessing your toyhauler won't carry the Jeep as well?
I had the 102" width and 16 ft in for cargo room, but the ramp and floor would not handle a JEEP.
That is a sweet fifth wheel set up..

The Jeep fits in the Toyhauler, but it might put me over the max towing rating limit. So I have to do some math and get on a truck scale to be sure.
