Glad you guys had a good time, what was the conditions ? Trails hold up thru the summer? I know there was some changes and repairs on several trails, just curious how they held up thru the storm.

Most of the trails have enough rock in them they don't rut up too much. You'll get a few spots in front of tree roots or bigger rocks that will get deep spots, but that's when things start to get fun!

Not yet, but I'm not too worried about it. I need to get Dave to mess with my trackbar mounts to slide the axle over. I've got The stock track bar. Didn't go to adjustable one because of clearance issues.

I was thinking a Sunday run. I've never run that Firefox trail, so
Maybe start on the West side and run that one and then loop back to Archers and then see what the group wants from there? I was planning on a little later start, say about a 9am meet at north plains Chevron?

Ok, since it was nice today, I decided to go underneath the Jeep to assess if any damage was sustained during the run. My skids really have a lot of scrapes and dents and I believe they all resulted from Firebreak 5. Honestly, I think Firebreak 5 is dug up much more than I've ever seen it especially the first 2 sections and the last one as well.

Aside from the scrapes, scratches and dents found on my armor, the only other mishaps that occurred from Firebreak 5, was a sheared zerk/grease fitting on my Tatton's rear drive shaft. Additionally, I managed to scrape off one of the steel retaining clamps that hold the rubber expansion boot on the front drive shaft too.

If you have 33's or smaller tires, Firebreak 5 in its current condition - should be a FUN trail experience for you.

LOL the diff guards did have significant scratches on them so they did protect...

I'm thinking Brandon wished he had one on his rear diff. He dented the cover a bit on Rocky Uphill. We went and hit Rogers Trail and Firefox. Firefox was so not worth the drive out there. I somehow missed stick in the nose trailhead. Lots of signs have been tore down by some real clowns. There was a bit of logging at the top of Rogers Trail and they are putting in a new road in preperation for logging, so part of it was blocked off.

Brandon had a little rush on Archers Hill Climb...

Lol, I cut out a minute or two of waterfall. I was getting the passenger tire on the upper ledge and was feeling a little tippy, so I backed up as just went for the for the steeper angle up the chute. The MTR'S definitely don't grip like the KM2's on wet rock. They do clean out better in the mud though. Gotta give the wife credit for the video.

I haven't been able to remove the seat from my butt yet! lol That vid capture looks like I was standing it on the rear bumper. Some significant scrapes on my rokmen tank skid now too. It held up well though.

i actually found a spot toward the top of firebreak 5 where i just couldn't make it, their is a spot toward the top that splits off to the left and kinda straight, the left fork killed me

Would that be the off camber root exposed area? I hit my driver's side mirror on the particular obstacle, the way the ruts and roots are - the fall line brings your driver's side close to the tree, many times hitting your mirror. Not good news for fixed position mirrors...

it was on the last section of firebreak 5, it was a hard 90 degree left turn around a tree with a decent off camber.
