Barlow Road run Saturday May 26

I'm putting together a run to the Barlow Road with a few other people on Saturday May 26th. We're meeting at Fred Meyer's in Gresham at 8:15. Heading out HWY 26 east about 8:30. Lots of things to see and great places to stop for a picnic lunch on the trail.

This time of year, be prepared for snow. Last year we went up in June and there was still snow in the shadier places.

I scouted it on Sunday afternoon and there was a wall of snow blocking the road at hwy35.... It may take several more weeks to get the snow melted.

I was gonna cancel the trip anyway. Heard that there was to much snow from the rangers.

We are going in the direction of Browns Camp or the Trask area instead. Meeting up at 8 am on Saturday in North Plains at the Deli across from McDonalds.

Dave and I are putting our our Second annual Barlow Road Run June 17th Details area in the Sticky, this weekend we will re-post them.
It's not your average trail run, it is a living history tour too.

Due to the latest weather conditions on the Mountain and recent snow and wind storms they have reported in the area of the Barlow Road we are going to postpone this run until a future date when the weather is better. This way we will not spend all of our time clearing the road and dealing with the snow packs.

Or even a tire - for that matter . I lost a bead and ultimately the entire tire during one of our winter wheeling runs .
