Basic Vehicle Recovery Clinic

The objectives of the “Basic Vehicle Recovery Clinic” is to teach safe “awareness level s” and “recovery techniques” to get a vehicle that is stuck or broke down recovered (unstuck) or moved out of the way.

By days ends you will you will have a understanding of what to carry for vehicle recovery (hardware / software), working load limits, minimum breaking strengths, and to recognize safe or unsafe systems/riggings and how to deal with them as safe as possible for the situation you are up against.

Most importantly we will emphasize the lack of safety standards for vehicle recovery’s and for you to understand the importance of working load limits, and minimum breaking strengths of the equipment that you may be using.

Be prepared for the day and the weather condition dress according. This class will be held rain or shine. Wear a good set of boots and you must have leather loose fitting gloves. Bring water, drinks, and food for yourselves.

Clinic is limited so if you’re interested in attending contact me.

Clinic is held at the Tillamook State Forest Area in Oregon

When is the next clinic? Do we need to have a winch? buying a winch was not in the budget for this year, but I do want to learn more about recovering.

You do not need a winch or recovery equipment. Just PM me and let me know you would like to attend. Class size is limited.
