Engine swap time 4.0 to 4.7

Well Sunday is the big day. I am swapping out my old 4.0L HO for the new 4.7L Stroker, along with replacing the flywheel and clutch in my 91' YJ. I wasn't really able to get anyone to volunteer to help out last Sunday or this one, so I decided I am just going to do it. If any local wrench monkey's are board on Sunday and want to help out, you are more than welcome to and I will even provide lunch. Just PM or Email me and I will let you know where and when.

Good luck with the swap! I wish I could help, but I have got a few other things going on here. Who built the stroker for you? Looks the block is color matched to your Jeep. I've thought about doing this engine swap myself. You'll have to tell me your drag racing stories once this thing is up and running.

Best wishes-

I had S & J engines build it and for a good price, but as far as drag racing stories I will just be happy that I can finally go faster than a top speed of 30Mph on level ground again after almost two months. Plus it is built for torque (of course there is that bonus of the extra horsepower) but I wouldn't want to go that fast in a old style Jeep anyway. Guess I am starting to show my age

Well I am still working on getting the old engine out. Should be about an hour from now. If anyone has the day off and would like to lend a hand, let me know I could use the help.

I still want a shotgun ride after the swap. I plan to do the same swap when/if my 4.0 gives up the ghost.

OW- Did you get help?? I wish I would have logged on sooner. If you still need help this weekend, I would love to come and volunteer my time and hands.
