I have not found anyone that specializes in jeeps per say, a lot that say they do off road vehicles but nothing to write home about. Sad because i need work done that i can't do myself and don't really want generic service.

Has anyone had any dealings with Chaz over at "Chaz RV and Off-Road" ? He did some welding for me recently and seemed like he was set up to do some work there. He is also an off-road enthusiast and has a monster Ford Bronco. Told me he would beat any prices for work that I got from 4wd Parts Center....

For my jeep I use Good guys auto care in Clackamas, or right off 212 and 82nd. The owner Pat is an avid jeeper. He has a yj he wheels that is bad to the bone with a corvette motor in it. He knows jeeps inside and out.

Is Good Guys pretty reasonably priced as far as parts and labor compared to other shops? How is his Customer Service Skills? Do they usually offer a good Warranty on their work?

If you have a jeep I find you get a better deal than if you had something else, He is a jeep lover like the rest of us. Customer service skills.... He is nice guy and really knows jeeps weather its a stock one or set up for serious off road. Warranty?... Any work he has done for me I have been very happy with. I have an appointment this coming tuesday for my new jeep. I like to work on my rigs myself but dont always have the space or tools. Another place I use Is mt.scott motors. I have known the owner mike for many years, good shop but The jeep goes to good guys.

Pat's a great guy, I'd trust my Jeep to him .

My husband is my mechanic. Convenient . If you're in the Brant Lake, NY area, Village Auto is the place to go.

I think I might need to take my jeep to them for everything from now on. I was talking with a guy down here about a 4.5" lift and he was not aware of any driveshaft issues linked with installing a lift of that size. As far as I have heard, anything over 2"-2.5" requires a new driveshaft. I'll have to check them out.

I use Leonard's Off Road, he's an avid wheeler and extremely knowledgable on jeeps. I think his shinning area is steering and suspension, especially building axles. He can be difficult to talk to if you just wanna BS. He lifted my TJ, built a rear D44 and built my D30 (ARB's, Chromolly Yukons, 4:88's, gussets) and did my SYE, I have never had anything fail and I use it!

Here in Bend I go to Northgate Auto Repair. Rick is the owner and he's been dialing in my rigs for years. He's got a great crew they love Jeeps!

This would be a great thread to tack. We could list the company, address, contact person.

It's something you may not think about until something breaks.

Driveline Service
Driveline Service - Driveshaft Specialists

Driveline Service of Portland
9041 NE Vancouver Way
Portland, OR 97211
503-289-2264 (phone)
503-289-5838 (fax)

I didn't have any response to an email inquiry, but received excellent customer service when dropping in. Next day turn around for new u-joints for my 97 TJ.

They won't remove the driveshaft, you must deliver to their shop.
