Getting sick of TSF

So.....what happens when all the good trails are driven time and time again?

Are there any other places around or are we stuk with years of Cedar Tree and Archer's?

I hear about places in/near Estacada, and La Dee Flats...any truth to these mysteries?

Scott

There used to be lots of trails around Goat Mountain / Estacada area, but they are illegal for wheeling. Most of them have been blocked off anyway. La Dee flats has a couple trails, but not really worth the trip. Hopefully the Pistons Wild group will get somewhere with DNR and the Yacolt Burn trails will actually happen.

Otherwise you need to head North to a couple different spots up there. There are some good places up there once the snow melts. Check out this thread -

Ladee Flats is mostly bike trails right now but several groups are working to get more Jeep trails going. BUT Mount Hood is peppered with tons of Forest service roads that although they are service roads can have some fun spots in them. But nothing around here like TSF.

141 is right Goat Mountain is off limitis to wheeling but I hear the roads are fun in the snow.

The Power line trails we drove this last weekend on the Newbie run where fun, Steep and lots of big loose rocks to work over. On top of the big drop off, we had to be careful not to push rocks off on to the jeeps below us on the switch backs :-) but again nothing like TSF

Might be time to bump it up to a more challenging trail in the TSF

Yeah not sure about Crusher, just yet at least. Those WA trails look pretty sweet though!

We should all plan a weekend caravan trip!!!

Well ya if all your doing is blue trails there is hardly anything. There is still a bunch of trails I have not done and I've done quite a few. Pick up a map and go exploring

They all seem so short....but yeah will do. We've done Cedar, Archer's, Hogsback, Hoodraiser (crazy boring), and parts of FB5.

One of my friends down south said there us som Jeep trails up on the Santiam Pass by Hoodoo Skibowl. I've never been there in the Summer to vouch for them, but if it's open to Jeeps, there will be lots of rocks there.

I'd totally be down for Naches Run this Summer!

I haven't wheeled my Jeep since I've been having rear track bar clearance issues. Apparently, absence does work . Looking forward to wheeling TSF now that it's summer...

I would like to, but the rear track bar bracket (I'm going on my third one, through trial and error) that I'm expecting in, is scheduled for delivery on the 26th . So from an availability perspective, I'll be ready to go out and wheel next weekend 6/30, on forward .

The boys at "those guys off road" have approval to build a trail in Ladee Flats. They are hosting a clean up party out there Saturday the 23rd. They are also having a trail tour at TSF Sunday the 24th. If you want to help build the new trail, it's mandatory to attend this. It would be sweet to get lots of people out for this. Another place to wheel is always a good thing!

Pat and "Those Guys" are huge proponents of legal wheeling and really put a lot of effort in keeping our hobby alive with their work and cooperation with ODF. Wish I could go this weekend to help but with the Jeep down, and a family weekend commitment, it's not a possibility for me...
