Jeep fueling

I'm curious what octaine gas everyone uses? I recently switched over to 92 and can really tell a difference. I think it'll be even better once I pick up that superchip programmer.

No issues with the regular 87 octane I get from 76 or COSTCO .

Low compression motor... Regular grade 87 is all that is needed.

I think brand is more important than octane. Someone in one of the motorcycle forums I belong to found a study showing Chevron and Shell having the best additive packages. Shell's gas is reportedly almost the same as the gas they supply to F-1 racing I believe. I'll try to find it. Or anyone can google it. Doc H is correct about the compression being low enough, if your motor is stock.

I am running 93 octane in the JKU. The Superchips Flashpaq gives you a supposed +18HP/+22TQ if you run the 93 octane tune.

While its not leaps and bounds faster, I do notice the performance distance, and with the tune I am seeing a +1MPG.

That would be from the increased timing in the tuning. The higher octane fuel allows more timing to be used, giving you more power and mileage. (I'm less knowledgeable on gas tuning... I tune my own diesel truck, added over 250 rwhp with a tune )
