Any sponsored commercial event takes money to put it on. The cost for an adult for 2+ days of event is not that bad compared to other activities or events that one might choose to participant in. The events pay for insurance and the permits from the land managers to have the events. Each trail guide is several hundred dollars in cost to bring them in. Securing the food, (2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners) and the event venue comes with a cost. Jeep Jamboree has dedicated sponsors who donated over $250,000 in products last year for giveaways and prizes. You have a 1 in 2 or 1 in 3 chance (depending on how many sign up) of winning part of the $8,000 plus prizes donated by sponsors at the event; you at least have a chance of winning something. They give away 4 tires, a winch, and many other prizes worth $100 $200. So it is not all about JUST running trails. Meeting new people, making new friends, learning new trails, learning a new area, it’s a jeep thing.
Refer to the Tillamook event schedule for details as to what you do on what days, times, and locations. It should answer all your questions. If you still have a questions you can post it here or for information about this trip please contact Glenda at (530) 333-4777 ext 12 or glenda@jeepjam.com
For those that have asked in the past about signing up for the Tillamook Jeep Jamboree. We are 5 weeks from the Jamboree and we have 15 spots open. If your were thinking about a late sign up as some of you had indicated. Now is the time to sign up before we sell out.

So: This'll be my first Jeep Jamboree, and I've been on some trail rides (Rubicon Trail last summer), but my wife hasn't. This will be her first experience, and I'm stressing the social aspect of it, but she's not comfortable around strangers. I know I'm going to have a good time.
--- How can I ensure that WE have a good time, thereby setting the stage to justify the expense of attending future Jeep Jamborees?
Of course there are no magic answers. I'm just hoping to hear from members who've had similar experiences and suggestions or advice.
just spend time with your wife instead of yaking with everybody you see. She will see most people are easy to be around. If that does not work slip her a valium lol.
