Here's my rig.

And here is the first time I met up with OregonPlinker. Notice the tow chain. I'm not saying who was pulling who at that first meeting.

That would be great. I actually havent ran out that direction yet. Prairie mountain I hear about quite a bit... Im getting ready to fix a blown head gasket and cracked header asap. When my Jeep is running I try to get out at least once a month...

I'm good for going out sometime. Out around Junction City sounds good. Close to my house but I just have not been out that direction much. Would like to get more familiar with that area.

Well its mostly just old logging roads that Ive found so far, nothing really technical. Ive been looking for something more rugged but havent found it yet. Mostly mud holes that kids go tear up their truck in.

Prairie Mountain is out HWY 36 up past Horton Market.. I think theres like 3 different ways in but thats the way I know. Its nothing to serious from what I hear but good for snow runs and stuff I think and theres supposed to be some nice views... We hunted up there when I was a kid but I havent ran the jeep up there or even been past the market in almost 20 years...

Gotcha, ive been up past Horton lake before. We made a quick run from hwy 36 over to 126 yesterday. If you take the gravel road at the top of the hill on 36 past the transfer station it will take you to 126 or down past Fish Creek. Big mud hole where the three log roads connect

A few more boxes of ammo and it will look like one of those statues on Easter Island.

I would be interested in a local club. I think the closest one now is Salem Jeepers or something..

Ive been meaning to go scout Prairie Mt for awhile but according to what I read its as stated above "good for snow runs, not too technical". Still could be fun for a Sunday cruise.

It would be great to get a local 4x4 club going.

When I had my other wrangler 5-6 years ago I looked into local jeep clubs. There was one around here that just did noonday runs basically and required lift and a locker to go on any run with them. I thought it was kind of a joke.lol

I think min requirements should be recovery points front and rear, 4x4, and a spare tire. It doesnt take long for FNG's to get hooked and start lifting and locking once they get out on the trail and see what other rigs are doing with good tires and a little clearance...

I'm wanting to do a run up the Noonday Trial out of Cottage Grove on Feb. 15. Anyone else interested? Should be some snow fun up there!
