Nothing legal. Maybe someday Pistons Wild will get something done with Washington DNR in the Yacolt Burn. But it's been a few years with no progress to speak of. There's some trails up on the Santiam Pass. Quack Attack is the main one, but there is a couple other mellower trails also.
You kinda answered your own question...it's all private homes, nurseries and few berry farms. Why would you want to drive through someones field anyway? There is logging roads that are good for snow wheeling near here, but no legal trails. Those Guys Off Road built a trail off the 46 line in Estacada, but a few of the features weren't up to USFS standards and they closed the trail down. It's a shame, because it would have helped us get a foot hold up there to start building more trails.
Sounds exciting were is this located? Is it a long run? A jeep is a jeep the more battle scars the better. A full address would be awesome. Do you have photos of a trip there?
Here's alink with a few videos. You can find a bunch on youtube. The trail head is at the snowpark next to Hoodoo Ski area off HWY 22. It's about 2.5 hours from here. Once it snows, they will close the trail.
They've been working on their jeep trail for a while. I ran it. Fun but not crazy. They do have a rock garden kinda like crushers but much smaller. 60 miles from deep Gresham.
There is Cline Butte in Redmond. They have lots of bike trails and a few Jeep trails with some optional lines that are pretty tough. I saw an arcticle in 4wheeler on a another trail towards Prineville, bit it looked like buggy terroritory.
That might be Shane Fays (Mountain Air Offroad) property. You cut through Prineville to Christmas Valley. Called Peters Creek. Private but he has runs about 5 times a year. Definately buggy trails but then there's just good ole jeep trails that won't wreck your rig!
Nope, it's not Shanes place. It's Swartz Canyon. I'm getting old and I'm already brain damaged so I can't rembember squat anymore! lol... The guys at 4locked films have a bunch of video's of it on youtube. It's not a real long trail, but even the guys hardcore guys break allot of stuff on it. There is a few threads on Pirate about it.
I was having trouble finding rim butte on my maps. I'm in the gresham/happy valley area farmlands. All the trails people have named are awesome. Only problem is that they are all further than Browns camp. Thanks though
