As the Board of Forestry looks at new ways to manage state forests, the Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF) invites Portlanders to pull up a seat and get involved in the forestry conversation.
On the evening of Monday, May 19th, ODF will host a roundtable event in Portland to share information, capture input, and facilitate forestry planning conversations outside formal hearing settings.
The event focuses on the Alternative Forest Management Plan (AFMP) process, which is an effort to improve forest management for both economic and conservation benefits.
The event will include a brief presentation by ODF staff, time for questions and clarification, and an open forum for brainstorming and comments. We kindly request that participants review AFMP process materials prior, and attend with ideas and suggestions.
May 19: Portland: 6-8 p.m., Portland Building, 1120 SW 5th Ave., 2nd Floor Auditorium.
