OK, I give up!

So I got my two new Rockhard bumpers this week.

I installed the front, no problems.

Now, the rear is driving me f****ing INSANE.

There are two bolts you must pass through the rear frame crossmember. These bolts are facing rearward and screw into threaded holes inside the bumper.

BUT. I cannot see these holes once the bumper is sitting on the frame. I have tried rubber mallets in all directions, propping the bumper up, bolting other points first...nothing.

I am about to drop this thing off at Jeep West/Wherever, toss them some $$ and pick it up later.

But at the same time, I want to figure this out.

Any ideas???

PS. Instructions were written by a dyslexic third grader.

PPS. My patience is gone, can you tell!??? LOL

Sorry your having a hard time with it. I just did some modifications to my stock plastic rear bumper.

You should be able to get it once you step away from it for a while. I've had some of those too, they really test ya. When are ya going ot give it a second try?

Thanks for talking me off the ledge ; )

I already gave it a second. Might try a third try tomorrow night. I bolted it on the sides so I can at least drive around.

DONT GIVE UP! I know what you mean in regards to the horrible instructions that come with a lot of Jeep parts.

Me, I usually make my wife crawl under the Jeep and help me line up the bolt holes. I know she really enjoys helping

I had a similar issue when installing my Poison Spyder rear. For me, "massaging" the outside ends of the frame horns with a hammer allowed the bumper to slide on a little further and line up the holes.
