Crane Guy's rig was pretty ill at the Barlow Road run! The pics' don't do it any justice as far as the height and lift. You should take some pics next to a MiniCooper, or better yet, ON TOP of the MiniCooper Did you need some some scaffolding to get up high enough to buff out the pinstripes from Barlow Road? I was parked next to it at the Barlow Road toll gate and I have 2.5" of lift and 35's. I might as well been a JK Rubicon Low-rider in comparison.
Here's my rig running around Mount Hood last year, with 2.5" of lift, and 35's.
The second is the TJ I just built up myself, it's on 4" of lift with 1.25" body lift, 35's beadlocked and Dana 44's with ARB's, and Atlas II. I actually love it more than my JK but that's another story.
BTW, I don't know if they are on here, but I saw a couple of guys from Vancouver in a Maroon JKU at Tillamook on Friday, cool guys, hope to seem em' around. Sunday Tillamook was empty...boo... I guess you all are getting ready for the 25th?
Skjeep: SWEET TJ! Trying to make some SB rock sliders work but having a few issues with mounting them. ;-( so for now it's scaffolding LOL. I just sold my 1986 CJ-7 with a 350TBI, Dana 44 & 60 with ARBs 4:88, NV 3550, 38 KM2s etc, etc! Original owner to! Nice jeep but I have a 4 year old and outing her in and out of a 2 door was a hassle! Plus I'm enjoying the creature comforts of my JK. I do miss the old girl now and then!
Black with tan/spice hard top. The guy who bought it lives in Gladstone. So I get to see it now and then. Here's a picture at the Roberson jeep in Salem at their 2nd annual jeep Salem Jeep club event. The jeep next to me is my buddies with 35" tires. My JK is about a half length closer so it looks bigger than it really is?
I didn't know you had a CJ-7 let alone sold it, man I wish I knew, I probably would have put in a bid to grab it. Oh well. I used to drive a burgandy CJ-7 Renegade with a black hard top in high school. I had many fun memories driving that thing which was my inspiration for the TJ build. That's kind of why I say it's more fun than my JK because it reminds me of my old CJ in many ways. Well, maybe next time.
Anyhow, see you guys around.
I dont think Ive added to this thread yet, so here's my baby. Im glad I got to meet many of you at the "No Roads Required" event, and also a couple at the "Four Wheel Parts" get together. Im really looking forward to future events.
