Access ???

If you don't mind me asking, how is the access in that Powell Butte area ? Lots of gates and posted ?????
I'd love to go over there this summer for a few days and do a little shooting too as well as driving around .... Thanks ! "BH"

There is some private gated/posted/fenced land so its good to have a BLM Map. My buddy had some fancy GPS that had the BLM maps loaded so we were able to avoid private lands. But lots of area to cruise around.

I just noticed what appeared to be a deuce and a half with a Jeep in the back. Are my eyes deceiving me? I want that setup!

We tried one day to get to the top of Powell Butte with no success. We ran all over the back side but kept hitting private property. Looks like you had a great time.

Yeah, we didn't reach the top for the same reasons, but still had fun on the jeep roads that were open.

Yeah, it was quite the setup...took him awhile to get it unloaded without a tiltbed, but pretty dang neat.
