Portland/Vancouver

Any members in the Vancouver, WA area? We are going to be moving there soon and was wondering about some of the neighborhoods (trying to stay out of the hood).

I live in Vancouver. My house is is Orchards area (east vancouver), and I like it here. The one area I would stay away from is the areas around Clark College. Its all the A, B, C streets (alphabet soup lol). There are pockets of not so great areas all over Vancouver but for the most part its pretty nice.

We were looking at the Minnehaha area. Any thoughts on that?

If you stay to the middle or east end of Minnehaha, near the mall, it is alright. I would not move into anything on St Johns Rd, that area is just an extension of the alphabet soup area. Also, not right on Minnehaha rd as its a lot of commercial buildings.

East county is not bad near the I-205 area.

While not Vancouver, I have some co-workers who live further east and they say it's great. One lives in Camas and the other lives in Washougal.
