Re-treads

Well, after 1000 miles the retreads haven't delaminated yet ! Pretty good tires so far, Especially at $150 each for 35's. I'll be going to TSF on December 15th to air them down and test there offroad prowess. Could be a comical time, anyone who wants to come along for the possible carnage is more than welcome.

Good casings. They are called the Guard dog by treadwright. My buddies FJ has 20k on the same tires and all is good. It's worth a look at the website.

I'm going to buy a set too, probably spring time.... I been looking at em for a long time.
I have run recaps for many years in the 60's and 70's....never ever had a problem with any of em.
In fact I have a set on my old 67 Chebby 4x4 in the shop right now, got about 100 miles on em. I'd drive it but the gas tank rotted out....Another project.
I just can't see paying $1000.00 + for a set of mud tarz.... I plan to have two sets, one for winter and huntin and one for dry season.....
Good luck with yours..... "BH"

Well I was on my way to TSF on Saturday and two semis jack knifed and closed the road. Huge bummer had to head home. I did drive up to Mt. Hood Meadows in Sunday and they did fine in the snow. Not the update I wanted to post, but I'm sure they will get a beating soon.

Do you need a tank? Cab, saddle or blazer tank? I think I still have a cab tank.. and maybe a couple plastic saddles. But will have to look. I'm a couple hrs from portland though, but sometimes come into town. Need anything else for an old chevy let me know. I don't have as many parts as I used to, but still got some around.

I was going to buy a new repop tank ( cab tank) .....only $200.00, I'm just too lazy to do it. I have the truck torn apart in the shop and there it's sat for 12 years or so...
I robbed the carb off of it for the T-bucket and sofar it just sits...
Thanks a lot for the offer , I appreciate it, hard to find any parts for these old Chevalays anymore... "BH"

Good day in the snow. The treadwrights did great. I aired them down to 18PSI (should have gone lower) and we hit hood raiser both ways in some pretty deep snow. Half the day was spent getting my buddies FJ unstuck. The first trail we hit was closed so we had to ride on the hardball for 15 miles at 18PSI and again, no issues. I'm loving these tires. Excited for a muddy day to really test them.
